Congratulations on nearing your program completion. Please read the following instructions and contact the Office of the Registrar with any questions about degree conferral. Questions about Commencement can go to the Commencement team.
Application for Degree
In order to be considered a candidate for your degree or certificate, you must complete your degree requirements and file a Graduation application with the Office of the Registrar by the deadline indicated on the Undergraduate or Graduate graduation application form.
Degree evaluation: review takes within 6-8 weeks.
Diplomas: are mailed within 8 weeks after the conferral date directly from our diploma vendor, Michael Sutter Company.
eDiplomas: eDiplomas are complimentary (for graduates January 2025 and later) and will be available within 8 weeks after the conferral date. Watch your email for an invitation to access your eDiploma.
Transcripts: Official transcript noting degree conferral will be available the same week your degree is conferred by the Office of the Registrar. Please visit www.yu.edu/transcript to order an official transcript, selecting AFTER DEGREE IS AWARDED.
Financial Obligations: It is important that you clear your financial obligations and holds as soon as possible. Students who maintain obligations to the University will be unable to receive diplomas.

Degree Requirements
Students should consult with their academic advisor or program director (whichever is applicable) within your school or department to be sure that all of your graduation requirements have been met.
Note: Conferral of degree is not final until the Office of the Registrar has reviewed your academic record and determined that all of the degree requirements have been met.

Yeshiva University’s diplomas are issued by the Michael Sutter Company.

Visit our diploma website The eDiploma is a Signed and Certified PDF of your original paper diploma used for easy diploma verification purposes. The cost is $10 and it can be shared as often as you need. More information on the eDiploma can be found here.

Search the status of your diploma order whether it is your new diploma or replacement diploma.
Financial Holds
Students with an outstanding financial obligation to Yeshiva University will not be issued an original or duplicate diploma. In order to be issued a diploma, graduates with an outstanding balance should make arrangements for payment with Student Accounts. Once the obligation is satisfied, requestors should contact the Office of the Registrar when the hold is cleared for diploma issuance and to verify diploma mailing address.
