Ariel Rava is currently serving as a tenure-track assistant professor of accounting at the Sy Syms School of Business. Ariel joined the school after completing a prestigious postdoctoral research fellowship at Harvard University's Program on Corporate Governance.
Ariel holds a Ph.D. in Accounting and Information Assurance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, with a comprehensive research portfolio that includes corporate governance, healthcare economics, uncertainty, and bankruptcy.
In addition, Ariel earned an M.A. in Financial Economics and a B.A. in Economics, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Before transitioning to academia, Ariel gained valuable professional experience at several prestigious institutions, including the Central Bank of Israel, Israel’s Securities Authority, and the investment banking arm of Giza Singer Even Inc.
In his spare time, Ariel enjoys exploring New York theaters and arts with his wife, as well as practicing yoga and rowing.
