Golin
Adjunct Professor, Biology, Stern College
During his thirty-five-year tenure at The Catholic University of America, Dr. Golin pursued NIH and NSF-funded research on the biochemistry of fungal multidrug (ABC) transport proteins. A current interest is the genetics of Ashkenazi Jews. At Catholic University, he taught courses in the areas of genetics, biochemistry, and molecular biology. He began teaching at Stern College in 2020 and presently teaches Human Genetics.
Dr. Golin had continuous research support during his tenure at The Catholic University. During that time, he received three NSF grants and three NIH grants. The last NIH grant was renewed three times (14 continous years of support). Dr. Golin received the James Dornan Teacher of the Year award from The Catholic University of America.
Dr. Golin’s research was published in a variety of top-tier journals including Molecular Microbiology, The Journal of Biological Chemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, and Genetics. The complete list is found in his CV.
