On June 20 and June 22, 2023, the Straus Center hosted its annual summer seminars for high school students, Jewish and Western Texts in Conversation.

On May 3rd, 2023, the Straus Center and the Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein Honors Program hosted Dr. Marc B. Shapiro, a renowned scholar of Jewish history, theology, philosophy and Jewish literature.
