Life & Health Services and Public Health

Welcome to the CAPS Community for the Life and Health Services and Public Health - a place where you can make connections and partnerships for success with career advisers, discipline-related faculty, and alumni working within these areas. Due to our aging population, and with more and more adults aligning with the sandwich generation, employment opportunities within the Life Sciences industry has become one of the fastest-growing employment sectors. As such, there exists a wide variety of diverse career opportunities for applicants. Careers in Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Medical Devices Medical Laboratories, and Diagnostic Centers fall within the Life Sciences career field.

Also part of this community is Public Health. Professionals in this field work in a wide range of services, including infectious disease control, health problems of children, older adults, and the medically underserved, chronic disease management, health monitoring and surveillance, environmental/occupational health and safety, and emergency preparedness. Through this community, you will find industry resources, career advice, job/internship and networking opportunities, workshops, events, and advisors to help you strategize a plan to achieve your post-graduation goals. Yeshiva University’s rigorous curriculum prepares you with strengths that are especially relevant to these areas and this community will provide you with the professional connections and partnerships you need.

You are encouraged to get started by engaging with your CAPS Community Career Advisor by scheduling an appointment in Yeshiva University Career Link (YUCL) to meet with Naomi Kapp, the CAPS Community Advisor for Life and Health Science, and Public Health.
