• Office of the Provost

  • Welcome

As the chief academic officer of the University, the provost oversees YU's academic programs, research, personnel and resources. The provost provides strategic leadership for the University to ensure its mission is being met and to enhance the quality of the institution's teaching, learning and scholarship.

At Yeshiva University, Provost Morton Lowengrub, the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, works closely with senior-level administrators and the deans of our undergraduate, graduate and professional schools and colleges to identify opportunities for fostering a collaborative culture throughout the schools and colleges on scholarly research or creative projects, as well as throughout our interdisciplinary centers and institutes. He also works to re-evaluate curricula, strengthen programs to ensure they remain compelling and challenging and appoints new faculty and makes recommendations for tenure.
