A Chance to See the Leaders in Bible Knowledge
The 2019 National Finals for the Chidon Ha’Tanach will take place on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Yeshiva University. More than 250 finalists from across the country will compete in the final round of competition. The winner will be named National Chidon champion and have the opportunity to compete in the International Chidon Ha’Tanach, held in Israel.
In tandem with this event, YU will be hosting a Tanach Yom Iyun [Bible educational day] for contestants’ parents and the community, with the hope of spreading the importance of Tanach as the foundation for Jewish values.
The Yom Iyun will feature Rabbi Dr. Jeremy Wieder (Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary), Rabbi David Fohrman (founder and CEO at Aleph Beta Academy), Rabbi Shalom Carmy (assistant professor of Jewish philosophy and Bible), Smadar Rosensweig (clinical assistant professor of Bible), Mrs. Yael Leibowitz (Lecturer, Matan) and Mrs. Shani Taragin (Senior Lecture, Matan).
