Pepperdine Law Expert Publishes Op-Ed Defending Yeshiva University’s Right to Receive State Funding

Professor Michael Helfand, an expert on religious law and religious liberty, has written an incisive op-ed in the Forward defending Yeshiva University’s right to receive state funding as a religious institution. He writes that “the Supreme Court has stated three times in the last six years that the government may not exclude religion from generally available funding programs.” Helfand is currently the Brenden Mann Foundation Chair in Law and Religion at the Caruso School of Law at Pepperdine University.
