On April 1st, 2024 Gottesman Library unveiled a new facility for students.
The Digital Media Studio, located on the southeast corner of the 4th floor (behind the elevators) of the Mendel Gottesman Library Building, is a new space for learning and development. The new space includes a Dremel 3D printer, RodeCaster Pro podcast mixing recorder & microphones, JVC 4K video camera & green screen “virtual” studio backdrop, and two new iMacs with M3 processors. The iMac computers are set up with software applications that allow students to design and create. In addition to Apple’s Final Cut Pro and Logic software and Adobe’s Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere), they also provide the following 3D design software: Autodesk Fusion 360, Blender, and TinkerCAD.
The Digital Media Studio is open Monday to Thursday from 11am to 8pm and can be reserved for 2 hours with a renewal. Students requesting a 3D printing reservation will need to attend a 30-minute Intro Workshop (offered weekly) before using the studio.
