Dr. Stacy Lang received her PhD from the University of Denver in 2001; her MSW from Tulane University in 1988; and her BS in Psychology from Tulane University in 1987.
Dr. Lang has over 20 years of experience in Social Work, including Teaching, Administration, Academic Advising, and Clinical Work. She has been an adjunct member of the Wurzweiler faculty since 2005, having taught courses in HBSE I & II, Coping With Grief & Loss, Family Systems, Foundations of Social Work Practice, Cultural Diversity, and Social Casework. Prior to coming to Wurzweiler she taught at the UAlbany School of Social Welfare, Norfolk State University School of Social Work, and The University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work.
Dr. Lang has served as a Field Instructor in both Tampa, FL and Denver, CO, as well as Clinical Director at Tampa Jewish Family Services and Program Coordinator at the Health Career Opportunity Program at the University of Denver. Her clinical work has focused largely on assisting a wide range of clients with facing issues of loss, in medical settings as well as in Private Practice. She has also presented workshops on Social Work Documentation, Psychoneuroimmunology and Social Work, Decisions Near the End of Life, and Comforting the Bereaved.
As the Director of Admissions, Dr. Lang’s responsibilities are to facilitate in Admissions Office activities including recruitment and processing of admissions applications and interviews.
