Student environmental organizations and initiatives at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law include the Cardozo Environmental Law Society (CELS).
CELS serves as a social and educational outlet for Cardozo students interested in environmental issues. The organization sponsors guest speakers, arranges career panels, and provides information about how students can become involved in the field of environmental law. They host events addressing topics such as sustainability and contemporary environmental concerns as well as promote sustainability efforts at Cardozo's facilities. CELS also advocates in relevant campaigns in the broader community with an emphasis on local, national and international issues of environmental concern.
For more information, see http://cardozoenvironmentallaw.blogspot.com/ or email CELS co-presidents Adina Halpern and Samantha Weston at cardozoenvironmentallawsociety@gmail.com.
