The primary function of the Department of Safety and Security is to provide for the security and safety of the students, faculty, staff, and visitors at the University's Manhattan campuses, including the Yeshiva University Wang High School for Girls in Queens.
Security officer coverage is provided for the Wilf and Midtown Campuses, as well as all Residence Halls twenty-four hours a day when school is in session. Additional coverage is provided for special events.
The Department of Safety and Security should be contacted immediately in such cases as theft or vandalism, suspected intruders, dangerous conditions, medical emergencies, fire, or smell of smoke.
Only when we are aware of such incidents can we properly plan and direct our resources in an effort to prevent recurrences.
Parking and Transportation are also administered by our department. Please follow the links provided on the right of this page to access the resources you need for Parking and Transportation.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Regards,
Donald Sommers Chief of Security
