Dr. Cynthia Wachtell, the Director of the S. Daniel Abraham Honors Program, earned her doctoral degree in the History of American Studies at Harvard University. She also holds a master's degree and a bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from Yale University in American Studies. Her academic field of expertise is American literature of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In addition to teaching at Yeshiva University, she has taught at Harvard University, The New School for Social Research, and Fordham University.
