CHAVRUSA MAGAZINE
Chavrusa magazine is your Rabbinic Alumni newsletter. It is published tri-annually around the Yamim Noraim, Hanukkah and Pesach. Please contact us at chavrusamagazine@yu.edu to subscribe or to share news about lifecycle events.
DAYS OF LEARNING
Rabbinic Alumni sponsor yomei iyyun at Yeshiva confronting contemporary and complicated issues, and co-sponsor the annual RIETS Kinus Teshuva and the Dr. Samuel Belkin Memorial Lecture/Shiur Klali.
Please write to rabbinicalumni@yu.edu for more information.
TORAH SCHOLARS AND SCHOLARSHIP
If you have a shayla that you want addressed by a RIETS Rosh Yeshiva, simply contact us at rabbinicconsult@yu.edu. Your query will be delivered to a Rosh Yeshiva, and you will receive an answer by e-mail.
As a RIETS alumnus, you have free access to some of the reference materials at the YU libraries, which includes the Bar Ilan Responsa Project. Alumni also can access the Resource and Research Center, which provides individual assistance in researching issues of Jewish law and thought.
Rabbi Daniel Z. Feldman, director of Rabbinic Research, will respond to inquiries concerning any of these resources to assist you in preparing shiurim or researching halachic issues of interest and importance to you. Please write to him at rabbinicresource@yu.edu.
This service is part of the Legacy Heritage Fund Rabbinic Enrichment Initiative, generously supported by Legacy Heritage Fund Limited.
CONTINUING EDUCATION
RIETS Rabbinic Alumni are welcome to attend selected RIETS classes focusing on contemporary halacha and pastoral counseling. To learn more, please contact us at rabbinicalumni@yu.edu.
In addition, through the Legacy Heritage Fund Rabbinic Enrichment Initiative, a variety of continuing education programs, conferences, and other valuable services are offered. LHREI is generously supported by Legacy Heritage Fund Limited.
HELPING CHAVEIRIM IN NEED
RIETS Alumni maintain a separate account to offer interest-free loans to chaveirim in need of financial assistance. Whether need arises because of an unexpected expense, a costly simchah, or unemployment, alumni can sign up for a confidential loan through our office.
Please contact us at 212-960-5292 to arrange for a loan, or to make a gift to our fund.
