The Reserve Collections consist of materials selected by faculty members with the purpose of making them readily available to all students in a course. Selected high-demand items are placed on permanent reserve.
Please note : To borrow any reserve items you must present a valid Yeshiva University identification card and be registered for library services at time of check-out.
Visitors wishing to access reserve items must present a Yeshiva University visitor’s pass at the reserve desk at time of check-out. Please refer to the Libraries’ Access Policy statement for more information.

Circulation Desk (level 2) for general course reserves
Reference Desk (level 5) for non-course-related reserve items

How to Find Reserve Items
Detailed information about reserve items and their availability can be found by searching theYULIS catalog.
Search for a specific item by author, title, call number or other relevant search terms.
You may also search by the name of the instructor (enter last name first) or the course number to view the list of related reserve items.
Restrictions
Pollack Library and Mendel Gottesman Library reserve items are generally intended for use in the libraries only.
Hedi Steinberg Library reserve items may be taken off the library premises.
Loan Periods
The loan period for all reserve materials is 2 hours.
Reserve materials, with some exceptions, may be taken out for overnight use. In all instances, reserve items must be returned on the next day the library is open, within the first hour of opening. Items may be checked out for overnight use starting from:
11:00 P.M. Sunday-Wednesday (all libraries)
11:00 P.M. Thursday (Pollack and Mendel Gottesman Libraries)
9:00 P.M. Thursday (Hedi Steinberg Library)
11:00 A.M. Friday (Pollack and Mendel Gottesman Libraries)
12:00 P.M. Friday (Hedi Steinberg Library)
When the libraries have special hours, reserve items may be checked out for overnight use starting one hour before closing time or as posted.
Fines
The overdue fine for reserve items is 25 cents per hour per item.
