The Mendel Gottesman Library of Hebraica/Judaica, located at 2520 Amsterdam Avenue between 185th and 186th Streets at the University's Wilf Campus, is one of the world’s great Judaic research collections. The Library’s holdings are particularly strong in the areas of Bible, Rabbinics, Jewish history, Jewish philosophy and the Hebrew language. Collections consist of over 300,000 printed volumes in a variety of languages, dating from the 15th century until the present day.

Online Resources
A large number of Online Resources, including databases and indexes, e-journals and e-books, are available in the library for research purposes. Off-campus access to these resources is provided to current Yeshiva University students, faculty and staff who have registered at their campus library. Dissertations
The Library collects both masters’ theses and doctoral dissertations completed at the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies. The Library collects doctoral dissertations completed at the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration.
Microforms
More than 11,000 microforms held by the Library contain copies of journals, dissertations, rare books and volumes whose print versions are in a deteriorated or brittle state. Of particular note are collections of manuscripts on microfilm:
- Manuscripts from the Library’s own rare collection
- Hebrew manuscripts from the Jewish National and University Library in Jerusalem
- Hebrew manuscripts from the Vatican Library
- Hebrew manuscripts from the Guenzberg collection in St. Petersburg
Audiotapes
Included in the audiotape section is a complete “Daf Yomi” tape collection (2650 tapes) intended for use in the Library.
