There are many benefits to choosing to go to Israel as part of the S. Daniel Abraham Israel Program. These benefits derive from the fact that students on the Israel Program are officially students in Yeshiva University and can therefore utilize our office in Israel and the programs and services it provides as well as take advantage of other services provided to all YU students. Advantages to going to Israel on the S. Daniel Abraham Israel Program include:
Academic Benefits
- Students’ transcripts are automatically sent from the Israeli institutions to Yeshiva University.
- Credits become Yeshiva University credits and are listed as such on the students’ college transcripts.
Financial Benefits
- Students on the program are officially students at Yeshiva University and are therefore eligible for Federal and State aid.
- On Request, the Israeli school’s tuition can be paid through a flexible payment plan offered through Tuition Management Systems.
Benefits in Israel
- The YU office in Israel provides extra support to all program participants and serves as a resource for students and parents alike.
- Throughout the year, YU sponsors and runs a variety of events in Israel for program participants. Events include holiday celebrations, community service events, a battle of the bands, a choral competition, and shiurim (classes).
