What Version of Symantec AntiVirus (SAV) am I running?

 What Version of Symantec Anti-Virus (SAV) am I running? 

 Open SAV by 

• Double-clicking on the gold shield icon in the taskbar  (next to the PC’s clock) 
• or by going to START – ALL PROGRAMS – SYMANTEC CLIENT SECURITY 

 Who needs to run this SAV upgrade? 

• If your "Program Version" (see image below) indicates Program: 10.1.6.6000, or a higher, you are currently running the latest version of SAV, and do NOT need to continue with this upgrade.

  If your "Program Version" (see image below) indicates any version other than 10.1.6.6000, you must continue with this upgrade. 

   

    

To download and Upgrade Symantec AntiVirus: 

• Close all open programs (except your web browser) then download the current Windows version of SAV. 
   
   
• Select “Run” to begin the download:

  After the file has been downloaded, select “Run” to begin the installation:

  Select “Next” to continue with the installation: 
   

• Select “I accept the terms…”, then click “Next”: 

•  Select “Complete”, then click “Next”: 

•  Select “Unmanaged”, then click “Next” 

•  Select “Auto-Protect” and “Run LiveUpdate”, then click “Next” 

•  Click on “Install” 

• Click “Finish” to complete the installation. 

• Please allow a few minutes for “LiveUpdate” to complete.
