THE IMPORTANCE OF RUNNING MICROSOFT UPDATE:

*

Running Microsoft Update regularly is very important if your computer is connected to the Internet or other computers.

*

It is Microsoft's way of fixing bugs in your operating system - bugs that may leave your computer vulnerable to attacks such as viruses and worms.

*

Your computer will perform better and be safer if you apply these "critical patches".

 *

Microsoft Update will keep your Operating System up to date, plus keep Microsoft Office and other Microsoft programs current with the latest updates.

BEFORE YOU START MICROSOFT UPDATE:

Your computer must be connected to the Internet.  Without an Internet connection, you cannot setup or run Microsoft Update.

*

Close all applications.

*

Use only Microsoft® Internet Explorer, as Microsoft update will not work under Netscape, Firefox or other Internet browsers.
