    PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ON-LINE TRAINING

    The Human Resources Department is pleased to announce the launching of Softscape, a web-based tool to facilitate the Performance Management Process.   In order to assist you with navigating this system, we have developed on-line training videos to demonstrate how to use this tool.  Each video is based upon the steps that either an employee or one who manages an employee will need to complete.

    Go to http://yeshiva.softscape.com to log into the system and start this process.*

    Your login name is your Yeshiva or Einstein e-mail address (e.g., firstname.lastname@einstein.yu.edulastname@yu.edu). 

    Your initial password is the first initial of your last name followed by your date of birth in the following format, mmddyyyy. Example: R10251955

    You will be prompted to change your password, which must be at least eight characters (alpha or numeric).

    Introduction to the Performance Management System

    This video presentation will provide the following information:

    • Log into the system
    • Change your password
    • Navigate through the system
    • Understand the basic functions

    Step I: Employee Enters Performance Goals in the System

    This demonstration provides employees who will receive a performance review the ability to:  

    • Add and remove goals
    • Copy and paste goals from a Word document
    • Assign a recommended goal weight
    • Enter professional development activities and timeline
    • Send the form forward to the manager

    Step II: Manager Reviews Performance Goals

    This demonstration provides managers who will be conducting a performance review the ability to:

    • Review and edit performance goals entered by the employee
    • Add or remove goals
    • Review and edit professional development activities
    • Send the form back to the employee when it is modified
    • Send the form forward to the employee to complete the next step

    Step III: Employee Performs Year-End Self Assessment 

    This demonstration will allow employees who will receive a performance review the ability to:

    • Enter outcomes for each performance goal
    • Assign a recommended performance assessment for the goal outcome
    • Report on professional development activities that contribute to your personal growth and effectiveness in your position
    • Send the form forward to the manager
    Step IV: Manager Reviews and Finalizes Year-End Assessment

    This demonstration provides managers who will be conducting a performance review the ability to:

    • Enter comments for each performance goal outcome
    • Assign a performance assessment for each goal outcome and competency
    • Enter comments about the employees professional development activity progress
    • Request feedback from your manager
    • Sign the form and send the form forward to the employee

    Step V: Employee Signs Year-End Assessment

    This demonstration will allow employees who have had a discussion with their manager the ability to:

    • Enter overall comments on the performance discussion and review
    • Sign the form to acknowledge the performance discussion and review occurred
    • Print copy of the final performance assessment
    • Send the form forward to complete the performance appraisal process
