Jewish Life Coast to Coast

Kansas City ~ Omaha ~ Boulder ~ Denver
January 6-17, 2010

Learn about Jewish Community and the ways through which you can become active in Jewish life while visiting four diverse communities. Meet with local Rabbis, educators, and communal leaders; Facilitate educational programs in schools, synagogues and on the slopes of  the Colorado Rockies as you volunteer and contribute to the general community in a hands on way.

Shabbat 2010 - A Case Study

Israel
January 6-17, 2010

Experience the social, cultural, political, artistic and spiritual manifestations of  Shabbat on the tapestry of  Israeli Society. Separately,  a group of  men and a group of  women will spend their time exploring Torah sources; volunteering with the poor; learning about the political
& social challenges of  maintaining a Jewish Identity  and experience the spiritual expression of  Shabbat in Israel.

Operation: Health Care

Washington D.C. ~ Israel
January 4-15, 2010

From the Emergency Rooms of  Shaare Zedek and the Trauma Units of  the IDF, to the Political Activists at Capitol Hill: Join us on an eye opening, hands on service program grappling with issues of  health care reform, and medical ethics from political, Halachik and humanitarian perspectives. Participants will spend three days in D.C. followed by a week in Israel.

Humanitarian Mission

January 10-17, 2010

Learn, give, and grow in a developing community in Central America, with the help of  the American Jewish World Service. Immerse yourself  in Tikkun Olam as you build needed infrastructure for a community’s self-sustainability.  Empower yourself  to be an agent of 
change as you experience the challenges facing developing countries, and the Jewish response to such challenges.
