  • School Kollel Fellowships: Reaching High School & Middle School Students

      apply for the 2013-2014 kollelim

    Application Deadline: March 15th, 2013

The School Kollel Fellowships have proven to be an integral part of a school’s educational environment. In the 2021-2013 school year, 30 kollel fellows will visit several schools in the Metropolitan area on at least a weekly basis, including Ramaz, DRS, SAR, Yeshivat Noam, RYNJ and MTA. Kollel fellows play an essential role in schools, acting as energetic role models, participating in learning programs, teaching classes and creating bonds with high school and elementary school students. They serve as outstanding role models, lead chaburot, teach classes and often attend school trips and Shabbatons.

Equally important are the benefits that the Kollel Fellows themselves receive from the program. Kollel Fellows interact regularly with master Jewish educators who serve as their mentors in their professional development. The program also opens professional doors for the kollel fellows, as many of them have gone on to full time positions at these schools upon graduation from RIETS.
