MISSION
The mission of the Canadian Friends of Yeshiva University is to support Yeshiva University’s Canadian students and alumni; to raise the University’s profile in Canada; to bring our spiritual, intellectual and creative resources to Canadian Jewish communities—and to raise the funds needed to make all of this possible.
WELCOME FROM
PRESIDENT RICHARD M. JOEL
Canada is blessed with a strong, influential, and flourishing Jewish community. We at Yeshiva University are proud that so many Canadian students and professionals choose to partner with us for their education.
Our relationship with Canada is an essential part of who we are—and it works in a continuous circle. We educate Canadian students at our undergraduate and graduate schools and affiliates—in medicine, law, social work, psychology, education, and rabbinic studies—and watch them return to Canadian communities with new skills to invest in the most important place in the world: their homes.
Our values must blossom in multiple communities—throughout North America, in Israel, and around the world. YU alumni play leadership roles, shaped by their global perspective, and give their communities a sense of reach, exploration, and tradition that are at the heart of our purpose.
We need your ideas, your energy, your participation, and your support.
TRIBUTE TO VOLUNTEERS
With a deep sense of gratitude, we extend a thank you to our invaluable volunteers. Your contribution of time and skills to Yeshiva University is both appreciated and inspiring. Your commitment allows us to nurture the noble partnership between YU and Canada’s Jewish communities.
Thanks to you, we educate the leaders of tomorrow, strengthen communities, and further the vision and mission of Yeshiva University across Canada. Your efforts ensure that YU remains a beacon of tikkun olam (repairing the world) and an embodiment of Torah Umadda (the synthesis of sacred and secular knowledge). Together, we can accomplish this through programming, strategic guidance, fundraising, and in countless other ways.
Thank you again, and may G-d grant each of you many years of health and strength to continue your kindhearted work.
Not yet a volunteer?
Get connected—and be a part of our vital and gratifying work.
