Revised January 26, 2001; subject to change. If instructional time is lost because of inclement weather or other emergency, changes in the academic calendar will be made, either by extending the semester, or by whatever other modifications are necessary. Dates apply to all schools unless otherwise specified. All dates are inclusive. The following abbreviations are used:

IBC = Isaac Breuer College of Hebraic Studies JSS = James Striar School of Jewish Studies

MYP = Mazer School/Yeshiva Program SBMP = Stone Beit Midrash Program

SCW = Stern College for Women SSB = Sy Syms School of Business YC = Yeshiva College

November 22-23, Thursday-Friday — Thanksgiving Break, No Classes

November 23, Friday — Last Day for Title IV Refund Calculation

 

December 2, Sunday — MYP Classes Follow Regular Sunday Schedule, No YC classes

December 3-7, Monday-Friday — Period to file for P/N Grade

December 12, Wednesday — Last Day to Withdraw from a Course3 — Midtown Campus

December 16, Sunday — Chanukah Vacation, No Classes

January 1-8, Tuesday-Tuesday — Fall Semester Final Examinations — Midtown Campus

January 2-9, Wednesday-Wednesday — Fall Semester Final Examinations — Main Campus

January 9-20, Wednesday-Sunday — Intersession — Midtown Campus

January 10-20, Thursday-Sunday — Intersession — Main Campus

NOTES:

Students are advised to submit their applications for graduation to the Registrar at registration and not wait until the deadline.

With written permission of the instructor and school dean or director, students may enter a class up to two weeks later.

November 23 on the Main Campus or December 12 on the Midtown Campus is the last day to withdraw from a course and to change Hebraic Studies transfer credit without special permission from the dean or director and without notation on the record.  However, the proper forms must be filed in the Office of the Registrar.

Reading Period is the 14th contact week of the semester. Classes meet at the discretion of instructors; No exams or finals may be given; Laboratories meet.
