Israeli kid becomes a serious, talented, respected, loved and cherished officer in the Israeli army. The book serves as an inspiration for all of us who sometimes wonder where our kids are headed, and provides a message about the potential in everyone. We receive an inside view into the life of a soldier and his family and we see first hand how Hagai dedicated his life, so that others can live, and how he did so willingly and without ever complaining.

The book takes a look at the the history of the Washington D.C. Jewish community from the period of 1856 until the 1960's.    The  Washington D.C. Jewish community was quite unique from its inception.    The legendary Al Jolson was a Washingtonian and his father Rabbi Yoelson was a famous cantor, shochet, mohel in Washington D.C. for many years.  The first Jewish aviator, Leibel Welscher was a Washingtonian.   When he was killed in a tragic plane accident in 1911, Orville Wright attended his funeral in Washington D.C.   Welscher is buried in the Adas Israel cememtary in D.C.
