Early Admission

High school juniors with a superior scholastic record who are interested in beginning Stern College for Women, Sy Syms School of Business, or Yeshiva College following fall may apply for Early Admission. These candidates must present a high school average of 90 and 1270 combined score in critical reasoning and mathematics on their SAT or its ACT equivalent.

In order for any application to be processed, the Office of Admissions must receive the following items:

  • Completed application and essay.
  • $65 application fee.
  • Official SAT or ACT scores.
  • Official high school transcript.
  • A letter of recommendation for early admission from the principal or college guidance counselor of the High School.

All applicants must also have an interview with a YU Admissions officer, which applicants are responsible to schedule by calling the Admissions Office.

Applications for the fall semester are processed in three stages:

  • Applicants whose completed applications with all the supporting documentation and interview that are received by October 15th will be informed of a decision by December 15th.
  • Applicants who are complete by December 15th will be informed of a decision by February15th.
  • Applicants who are complete by February 1st will be informed of a decision by April 1st.

 

Applications for the spring semester need to be complete by November 15th.
