Pathways

Education

So you're interested in studying education? YU has you covered, from undergraduate to graduate and beyond. Our undergraduate offerings include a major or minor at Stern College for Women; a joint degree program at Stern or Yeshiva College, offered in conjunction with YU's Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration; and a combined degree program. Additionally, qualified women students at Sy Syms School of Business can pursue the education minor offered through Stern.

But your education pathway doesn't have to end there. Eligible Stern and Yeshiva College students can continue their study at YU's Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration, which offers master's and doctoral programs. The school also offers a dual degree MS/MA program. And through the YU-affiliated Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, students can pursue semicha [rabbinical ordination], empowering them to serve as rabbi and teacher, and enroll in advanced-degree programs at YU's graduate schools.

Other education opportunities are also available through YU's Institute for University-School Partnership and the Center for the Jewish Future.

Other Opportunities

Center for the Jewish Future

The Center for the Jewish Future (CJF) offers a Certificate Program in Experiential Jewish Education. The curriculum comprises four seminars that focus on the foundations of experiential education: imparting values, creating experiences, cultivating communities, and self-development. Additional one-on-one mentorship opportunities are provided to participants as well.

The School Kollel Fellowship enables fellows to play an essential role in schools—participating in learning programs, teaching classes and creating bonds with high school and elementary school students.

Institute for University-School Partnership

Through a variety of services and resources, the YU Institute for University-School Partnership supports educators, administrators and lay leaders of Jewish day schools along their path of career development.
