Torah luminaries of the contemporary Jewish world, YU’s roshei yeshiva [professors of Talmud] play a central role in the life of the University.
YU's affiliated Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) has been blessed with an eminent array of Talmudic lights. Until a generation ago, such leaders came from across the seas. Today, nearly all of our senior roshei yeshiva are from our own ranks. American-born and college-bred, they continue the highest standards of learning that have exemplified the beit midrash [study hall].
Learn more about Yeshiva University's roshei yeshiva and also visit YUTorah.org, which has more than 35,000 shiurim [lectures] by our roshei yeshiva and other YU luminaries.
