Marianetti-Leeper

Dr. Sharon Marianetti-Leeper is licensed in NY state as both a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and a creative arts therapist (LCAT).  She combines her two areas of expertise to encourage and promote healthy approaches to individual and family mental health and wellbeing.  The interface of creativity with therapeutic interventions is central to her clinical, pedagogical, and research interests.  She integrates intrapsychic and interpersonal dynamics, noting that multigenerational patterns and sociocultural norms and biases are often powerful behavioral influencers.  Dr. Leeper is an advocate for the MFT profession in NY state, promoting systemic awareness among mental health consumers and allied mental health professionals.  In addition to her academic and administrative roles, she runs her own private practice online and in person in the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx.
